with Julia Blackwell

Julia Blackwell

Canadian Certified Counsellor

Somatic Therapist

Ayurvedic Practitioner

Julia offers individual holistic counselling that blends evidence-based talk therapy with Ayurvedic wisdom and somatic practices. Her work is rooted in the belief that true wellbeing comes from caring for the whole person—mind, body, and soul.

In a warm, collaborative space, Julia supports clients as they navigate stress, anxiety, life transitions, low mood, sleep concerns, trauma, substance-use concerns, or simply a desire to feel more grounded and connected. Through compassionate conversation and practical, personalized tools, she helps clients build resilience, understand their patterns, and create meaningful change.

Julia’s therapeutic approach is evidence-based and client-centred. She regularly engages in clinical supervision and consultation to continue growing as a practitioner and to provide thoughtful, ethical, high-quality care.

Julia's Approach

Julia’s sessions may include:

  • Holistic counselling to process emotions, gain clarity, and move toward what matters most.

  • Somatic therapy to reconnect with the body, regulate the nervous system, and gently release stored stress or tension.

  • Ayurvedic guidance to support digestion, energy, sleep, and daily rhythms through individualized lifestyle and nutrition recommendations.

  • Yoga and mindfulness practices to cultivate strength, mobility, presence, and calm.

  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)-informed strategies to build emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindful awareness.

  • Narrative therapy to explore the stories that shape identity, relationships, and possibilities for change.

Whether you are seeking focused support, space to process, or practical tools for everyday wellbeing, Julia welcomes you into a calm, inclusive, and supportive environment.
